You are familiar with the saying that a “picture is worth a thousand words.”   I believe that the doing or experiencing of an event (bronc riding, spurring for that third barrel, proudly carrying our Countries Flag, or coming to the rescue of a bull rider) must then be “worth a thousand pictures.”

The challenge is to capture those experiences so that, once away from the arena, (or years down the road), you will feel the adrenalin rush that made that moment in time, extraordinary!

That’s what Roughstock Photography is all about. Being at the right place, at the right time, with the right gear and right attitude. Shooting for that image that makes the hair on your neck stand up, brings a smile to your face, or a tear to your eye!!!

Roughstock Photography specializes in rodeo and equestrian photography. Reed Settle is a credentialed PRCA, PBR, and IPRA ProRodeo photographer. In addition he shoots Barrel Racing and roping jackpots, Extreme Cowboy Racing, and Ranch Roping competitions. By appointment he shoots clinics, special events, and ranch calls for personalized equestrian photography.

At the Settle Down Ranch, Reed and his wife Marie are at home with their nine horses (four  Quarter horses (Linus, Washakie, Billy, Sally). One Paint mare (Sabrina) one Paint gelding (Iowa).  one Arab mare (Bella), two mini's, Cassie and her new colt Wiley. Participating in a wide range of equestrian activities that include reigning, Rainbow Rider drill team, cowboy racing, Civil War Reenacting, confidence course program, training, and lessons, our horses are the epitome of bomb proof and we like them that way.
